Dodge and Ram Dominate J.D. Power Study on Passion
September 30 2021,
A vehicle is a way to get from point A to point B, of course, but we all know it's more than that. Indeed, a vehicle must evoke an emotion, or at least the vehicles that stand out are the ones that are able to do so. This is what the recent APEAL study by J.D. Power seeks to find out.
The APEAL study measures the ability of a vehicle to develop an emotional relationship with its owner. In other words, the ability of a model to be loved by its owner. In the most recent 2021, Dodge and Ram finished 1st and 2nd at this level, tied with none other than… Porsche.
J.D. Power contacted over 110,000 owners of 2021 vehicles who have had their vehicle for at least 3 months. Each vehicle was rated on 37 separate points ranging from comfort and driving pleasure to ease of use and performance. Each vehicle was classified on a score of 1,000.
Dodge finished number 1 with a score of 882 out of 1000, equal to Porsche who had the same score. Ram finished with a score of 881. The industry average was 845. The Ram 1500 also won the pickup segment.
