2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe to start at $74,995

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe will be arriving on the market this spring with a starting price of $74,995, Jeep announced this week. The all-new 4xe is a plug-in hybrid version of the redesigned and all-new generation of the popular Jeep Grand Cherokee. The objective of the 4xe is to not only preserve, but also maintain and enhance the off-road capabilities and ruggedness of the Jeep Grand Cherokee while also vastly and dramatically improving fuel consumption and fuel economy.

The end result is impressive. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is the most powerful Jeep in the lineup with 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. This comes from a combination of a 2 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. The average fuel consumption rating of this engine is just 4.2 L per 100 km, an impressive result due to the fact that the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe can drive up to 40 km on electric power alone with a fully charged battery.

Think about that for a second. You get more power than the entry-level V6, you get 6,000 pounds of towing capacity, and yet you have the fuel economy rating of a small sedan and the range to get you to and from work without needing a single drop of fuel. You also get all of the features that we expect from a Jeep Grand Cherokee or any Jeep product when it comes to off-road capability.

These include:

  • Quadra Trac II 4x4 system with two-speed transfer case and 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio
  • 47.4:1 crawl ratio
  • Available Trailhawk model
  • Selec-Terrain System with five settings: Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, Mud/Sand
  • Quadra-Lift air suspension with semi-active damping

There is no other vehicle on the market quite like the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. If you are looking for a stylish and luxurious SUV that has remarkable off-road capability while also delivering exceptional efficiency, check out the new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe.
